Purchase order account holders - EXISTING

If you are an existing account holder who wishes to pay by Purchase Order we have made the ordering process as simple and as swift as we can on the website or you can order by phone.

  • Website - Log on and place the order on the website and at the payment stage tick the Purchase Order box.  An e-mail will then be sent to you with the details of the invoice.  We will package the order while you obtain a Purchase Order Number.  When you have a Purchase Order Number for that invoice you can either log back on and enter the number to your order and so authorise despatch or you can call us or e-mail it to us.
  • Phone/Fax - If you place an order by phone or fax then we will fax you or e-mail you a copy of your invoice so that you can obtain a Purchase Order Number.  When you have a Purchase Order Number for that invoice you can either phone or fax it to us and then we will authorise despatch.

Purchase order terms

All puchase orders become due for payment within 14 days of despatch unless by previous arrangement.

Processing orders

To assist in processing your order by phone or fax if possible please quote your unique customer reference number (this can be found on our invoice alongside your telephone number). If you can also quote our product codes this would help but if we are in any doubt we shall contact you before despatching the order.

Out of stock items

We will always do our best to ensure all items are in stock but occasionally such things fall beyond our control.  In these exceptional cases we are happy for you to reserve an item and we shall contact you when the item comes in.  No payment for reserved items will be taken until the item is in and ready for dispatch.

Deliveries & returns:

Deliveries

Delivery methods and charges are displayed during the checkout process.  International shipping costs will be advised by phone/email before taking payment.

All our orders incur a standard packaging and delivery charge of £4.95 and all deliveries are sent by the most environmentally friendly post which usually takes 3-5 business days.  We will of course despatch items for guaranteed next day delivery (not weekends) for £8.95 but we would encourage our customers to consider our reasons for the less rushed delivery schedule and to work with us if they can.

Whatever way you order and whichever delivery method you choose we will ensure you receive the very best service and all orders placed before 3.00pm will be despatched the same day or if placed at the weekend by 3.00pm the next business day..

Returning goods

We have a no quibble refund policy. 

If you want to return an item for whatever reason you can do so up to 14 days from the date of delivery.  We simply ask that the goods are returned in their original packaging and condition and that you accept the cost of return postage.  We will be happy to offer a refund or replacement as soon as the goods are received and we do not charge a re-stocking fee as some other companies do.

Damaged goods

If goods are damaged in transit this must be reported to the Royal Mail or Courier and to Smart International Ltd within 3 days of receipt.

Defective goods

In the unlikely event that there is a fault with the products we send you, for which we apologise, we will replace these items immediately without any question upon receipt of the returned goods.  If the goods are faulty please advise us of the cost of return postage when you return them and we will issue you with a credit or refund for the postage.

We regret that we cannot accept returned needles or herbs unless they are returned to us unopened in the sealed packaging.

Incorrect delivery

We will do everything we can to ensure your order is double-checked before being dispatched but if there has been a mistake or a shortage in your delivery we will be happy to address this problem promptly.  We just ask that such mistakes are reported to Smart International Ltd within 2 days of receipt.

We would request that all customers open boxes and check them as soon as possible after receipt.

VAT

Our Vat number is 910 5948 26. Vat is chargeable, where applicable, on all goods and services we provide in the UK, except books, and exports to non-EU countries. Vat will be charged on exports to EU countries unless a Vat number is provided at time of ordering. We are sometimes asked about why there is Vat on postage in the UK. It is a legal requirement by HM Customs & Excise to charge Vat on postage to customers in the UK.  However when Parcelforce is used because they are owned by the government they are VAT exempt.

If you are a UK registered organisation claiming exemption from Vat you must provide the relevant completed HM Customs & Excise Certificate at the time of ordering otherwise we are obliged to charge Vat.

Pricing

All prices quoted on the website and in the catalogue show both trade prices exclusive of VAT and a consumer price with VAT because though most of our customers are practitioners and organisations some of our goods are suitable, and of benefit to, the general public.  Who genrally like to see the amount they are paying including VAT when considering an item.

Payment on-line is by Credit or Debit Card, or by Purchase Order for previously authorised clients only.

Although infrequent we reserve the right to change, modify, substitute or remove without notice any information on this site from time to time. Prices, goods and availability of goods are subject to change at any time.
